This is a small flat of 12 Chiastolite slices.  
Each stone has been sliced to about 3/8" thickness and rough-polished only.  
Each measures about 1-1/4" to 1-1/2".

Chiastolite is a variety of Andalusite with a composition of AlSiO2.  
Its name is derived from the cross shaped inclusions of graphite; hence its name derived from the Greek work Chiastos.  
During the 16th century, these stones were distributed to pilgrims returning from Santiago de Campostela in Spain. 
Chiastolite is a protective stone providing psychic resistance.  
It provides strength and calms.
