Ruby corundum Crystal from India.  Approx size:  1” x 1” x 1/2”.  Record keepers on top and a few on bottom.  

Corundum is the crystal form of Aluminum Oxide.
The trace element of Chromium gives Rubies their red color.  Rubies measure 9 on the MOHS scale of hardness.
