A flat of 12 rough (uncut and unpolished) Almandine Garnets.
When cut and polished their color will range from deep red to reddish-purple.
These stone are 6.5 to 7.5 on the MOHS hardness scale.
Total garnet weight is about 585 grams.
Stones are about 1" to 1-1/4" and individual weights vary from 36 grams to 63 grams.
