A flat of 12 rough (uncut and unpolished) Almandine Garnets.
When cut and polished their color will range from deep red to reddish-purple.
These stone are 6.5 to 7.5 on the MOHS hardness scale.
Total garnet weight is about 360 grams.
Stones are about 1" in width and length and about 1/2" to 3/4" in thickness.
Individual weights average about 30 grams.
